“Extover® is an environmentally friendly special extinguishing granulate for fighting lithium-ion battery fires and metal fires”

%100 Mineral non-combustible

EXTOVER® – EXTINGUISHING WITH GLASS

Extover®; is a new and special fire prevention and extinguisher produced by waste glass with a special technique, 100% mineral, does not harm the nature. After the burning surface is covered with Extover®, the particles replace oxygen and separate the oxygen from the fuel.

Just like glass, Extover® melts at a certain temperature. It absorbs a lot of heat as the melt forms, thus cooling the fire and at the same time forming an impermeable layer on the combustible material. The reaction with oxygen is effectively prevented.

EXTOVER Extinguishing Granules * HIGHLIGHTS

Multifunctional

Extinguishing, sorption-capable, filtration-capable, No extinguishing water damage, Can be combined with other extinguishing agents

Purely Mineral

100 % glass, Environmentally and health-friendly, Recyclable if not contaminated

Combinable

Ecological, made from recycled glass, Suitable for use in metal fire extinguishers (class D)

Extinguishing Effect of Extover

Fuel, oxygen and heat are the basic requirements for a fire to burn. All three factors must be present in the correct mixing ratio. In firefighting, all methods are based on depriving combustion of one or more of its basic requirements.By covering the fire load with EXTOVER, oxygen is displaced and separated from the fuel. Like glass, EXTOVER melts at a certain temperature. The granulate absorbs a lot of heat in the form of melting energy, thus cooling the fire and at the same time forming an impermeable cover over the fire load. A reaction with oxygen is prevented. The special granulate mixture in combination with the porous and therefore particularly large grain surface effectively binds liquids. Just like liquids, gases and vapors accumulate on the surface of the EXTOVER granules and can be disposed of in a bound state.

Areas of Application

Transportation & Packaging

For safe transport of lithium batteries for protection
Packaging of dangerous goods

Fire Extinguishing

Extinguishing fires of aluminum, magnesium, sodium, lithium, i.e. class D metals.
